Seán Duggan is a photographer and digital artist who combines a traditional fine art photographic background with extensive experience in the design and production of digital graphics. He is a co-author of "Real World Digital Photography" (Peachpit Press 2003) and "Photoshop CS Artistry, Mastering the Digital Image" (New Riders, 2004). An Adobe Certified Photoshop Expert, he writes a regular Photoshop tutorial column for MacDesign magazine and contributes articles to PCPhoto and Digital Photo Pro magazines.

In his twenty year imaging career, he has worked as a custom black & white darkroom technician, studio and location photographer, and has supervised the digital imaging department of a large photo lab. Equally at home with both low-tech and hi-tech approaches, his visual tool kit runs the gamut from primitive pinhole cameras to advanced digital techniques. In addition to providing imaging consultation services and Photoshop training seminars, Seán is an instructor for the photography departments of the University of California, Santa Cruz Extension in Silicon Valley, and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he teaches regular classes on Photoshop and digital imaging for photographers. He also offers small size custom and private workshops at his studio in the foothills of California's Sierra Nevada mountains.
